My husband and I spent a delightful afternoon at one of Cleveland’s best kept secrets: Sanctuary on Green in South Euclid. We had lunch while sitting under a canopy of trees, the backdrop to which is a wetland called Nine Mile Creek. An intermittent breeze graced us on a sweltering day as we ate some of the freshest salads we have ever eaten. The greens and vegetables were picked straight out of Sanctuary’s organic garden.
Not only did we enjoy the verdant surroundings, but we also took pleasure in looking at the numerous wood carvings created by Sanctuary’s owner, Norbert Koehn, a renowned wood and stone sculptor.
