This month’s positive point is about a break through with a couple in relationship coaching.
This last month I started working with a couple that had some trust issues on both sides of the relationship.
This husband and wife came into my office feeling hopeful, yet also wary about coaching and each other. They left the session with homework and a dose of reality: learning from the past and having a plan for the future was going to propel them forward.
They came into their second session with an infusion of new energy and a willingness to work on their relationship. I felt a different vibe from them the second I opened the door. They shared with me that just the act of coming in to see me for the first hour as well as doing their homework assignment, made them feel better about their relationship.
Although this is not an uncommon reaction from a couple that starts Relationship Coaching, it is always refreshing to witness! Often it’s simply the act of reaching out for help that takes the animosity between two people down a notch or two.
