You wouldn’t think something that is supposed to come as naturally as sleep could cause a problem in a marriage or relationship, but it does. Couples not only have a vertical life, they have a horizontal life. The life a couple leads in bed while sleeping can either bring a couple closer or drive a couple apart.
On a good night, things like temperature of the room, space in the bed, feel of a mattress, and movements, just to name a few, can interfere with one or the other person’s night sleep. If one of the spouses or mates has insomnia or snores, that complicates the situation. How long does a spouse or mate hang in there and lose sleep just to stay in bed with his or her partner? How long would you stay in the same bed with your partner if you started to lose sleep?
